What VantaPlayer accesses

VantaPlayer asks for read access to your Photo Library so you can pick a video to play. iOS shows the standard Photos permission prompt the first time you launch the app. You can revoke or limit this access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.

If you grant Limited Access, VantaPlayer can only see the videos you explicitly select.

What VantaPlayer stores

The app saves a small set of preferences on your device using iOS's standard UserDefaults store. This includes:

• Which playback speeds you've enabled
• Skip-forward / skip-back duration
• Mute state
• Whether you've seen the onboarding overlay

These preferences never leave your device.

What VantaPlayer does not do

• No analytics. No telemetry. No crash reporting service.
• No account, no login, no sign-up.
• No advertising and no ad identifiers.
• No tracking of any kind — across this app, other apps, or websites.
• No network requests for your video data. Your videos are read directly from the Photo Library and played locally.
• No third-party SDKs that collect data.

iCloud Photos

If a video you select is stored in iCloud rather than on your device, iOS itself downloads the original from your iCloud account so VantaPlayer can play it. This download happens between Apple's servers and your device — VantaPlayer never sees your iCloud credentials and the file is never uploaded anywhere else.

Children

VantaPlayer is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will also be called out in the app's "What's New" release notes.
